SCALE: 7 sts to 1 in.

Jack Frost Fingering Fleece—3 1-oz. Balls Cadet Blue; 2 1-oz. Balls Robin Blue; 1 1-oz. Ball Corn

BACK: With No. 2 Needles and Cadet Blue cast on 99 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, in striped pattern as follows: * 1½ in. Cadet Blue, 1 in. Robin Blue, ½ in. Corn; repeat from * to neck edge. When ribbing measures 3½ in. change to No. 4 Needles and P 1 row increasing to 118 sts. Work in stockinette st until piece measures 12 in. from lower edge. Bind off 7 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for under­arm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 7 times. Work even until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm. Bind off 6 sts at beginning of each of next 10 rows for shoulders. Change to No. 2 Needles increasing to 35 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 8 rows. Bind off.

FRONT: Work same as back until piece measures 5½ in. from underarm. Work over 35 sts; place on st-holder. Bind off next 20 sts for front of neck. On remaining 35 sts, work 2 rows even; decrease 1 st at neck edge every other row 5 times. Work even until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm. Starting at shoulder edge, bind off 6 sts every other row 5 times. Work other side to correspond.

FRONT NECKBAND: With No. 2 Needles and Cadet Blue, on right side of garment, pick up 79 sts from shoulder to shoul­der. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 8 rows. Bind off.

Sew shoulder and underarm seams.

SLEEVES: With No. 2 Needles and Cadet Blue cast on 79 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, in striped pattern until piece measures 1½ in. from lower edge. Change to No. 4 Needles and P 1 row increasing to 90 sts. Work even in stockinette st striped pattern until piece measures 3 in. from lower edge. Bind off 7 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for under­arm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 7 times, then every 4th row 3 times. Bind off 2 sts at beginning of every row until 24 sts remain. Bind off remaining sts.

Sew sleeve seams. Sew sleeves in place.
