BACK: With No. 2 Needles cast on 110 sts. K. 1, P. 1, for 3 in. Change to No. 4 Needles, increasing to 119 sts. at even intervals across the row. Work in stockinette st. until piece measures 12 in. from ribbing, or desired length to underarm. Bind off 8 sts. at the beginning of the next 2 rows, then bind off 3 sts. at the beginning of each of the next 10 rows. Work even until piece measures 10 in. or desired length from 1st bound off sts. at underarm. Bind off 7 sts. at the beginning of the next 6 rows. Bind off remaining sts. for back of neck.

FRONT: With No. 2 Needles cast on 110 sts. K. 1, P. 1, for 3 in. Change to No. 4 Needles, increasing to 119 sts. at even in­tervals across the row. Work to correspond to back. Bind off for underarm same as back. Work even in stockinette st. for 5 in. Work over 29 sts. Bind off 15 sts. On remaining 29 sts., work 2 rows even. Decrease 1 st. at neck edge every other row 8 times. Work even in stockinette st. until piece measures same as back. Bind off 7 sts. at shoulder edge every other row 3 times. Work other shoulder to correspond.
Sew shoulder seams.

SLEEVE BANDS: With No. 2 Needles, on right side of gar­ment, pick up 150 sts. from end to end of armhole. K. 1, P. 1, for 6 rows. Bind off.
Sew underarm seams.

NECKBAND: With No. 2 Needles, on right side of garment, pick up 32 sts. across back of neck. K. 1, P. 1, for 6 rows. Bind off. With No. 2 Needles, on right side of garment, pick up 96 sts. across front of neck. K. 1, P. 1, for 6 rows. Bind off.
Sew shoulder seams.

BOYS' SIZES
Size: 10 yr. (size 12 yr. in parenthesis)

BACK: With No. 2 Needles cast on 82 sts. (12 yr.—86 sts.). Work in ribbing of K. 1, P. 1, for 3 in. Change to No. 4 Needles and work in stockinette st. for 8½ in. (12 yr.—9½ in.), or desired length to underarm. Bind off 5 sts. at the be­ginning of the next 2 rows, then bind off 3 sts. at the begin­ning of each of the next 6 rows. Work even for 6½ in. (12 yr.—7 in.) or desired length to back of neck. Bind off 5 sts. at the beginning of the next 6 rows. Bind off remaining sts. for back of neck.

FRONT: Work to correspond to back to underarm. Bind off for underarm same as back. Work even in stockinette st. for 4 in. (12 yr.—4½ in.). Work over 21 sts. (12 yr.—22 sts.). Bind off 12 sts. (12 yr.—14 sts.). On remaining 21 sts. (12 yr.—22 sts.) work 2 rows even. Decrease 1 st. at neck edge every other row 6 times (12 yr.—7 times). Work 5 rows even. Bind off 5 sts. at shoulder edge every other row 3 times. Work other shoulder to correspond.
Sew shoulder seams.

NECKBAND: With No. 2 Needles, on right side of garment, pick up 24 sts. (12 yr.—28 sts.) across back of neck. K. 1, P. 1, for 6 rows. Bind off. On right side of garment pick up 86 sts. (12 yr.—90 sts.) across front of neck. K. 1, P. 1, for 6 rows. Bind off.
Sew shoulder seams.

SLEEVE BANDS: With No. 2 Needles, on right side of gar­ment, pick up 100 sts. (12 yr.—110 sts.) from end to end of armhole. K. 1, P. 1, for 6 rows. Bind off.
Sew underarm seams.
