SIZE 14 to 16

MATERIALS:
1 Pr. Champion Standard Knitting Needles #8
1 Pr. Champion Standard Knitting Needles #6
4-4 oz. pull skeins, Jack Frost Wintuk Knitting Worsted

Scale — 4 sts. to 1 inch.

BACK:

With #6 needles cast on 72 sts. work in ribbing of K1, P1 for 4 inches. Change to #8 needles, knit 1 row, purl 1 row to underarm, 14 inches. Bind off 2 sts. each side then K2, slip 1, K1, pass slip st over. Work to last 4 sts. K 2 tog. K2, Purl back. Repeat these 2 rows 23 times. Bind off.

FRONT:

Work the same as back to underarm. Bind off 2 sts. each side, part work in center and work one side at a time, decreasing 1 st. at neck edge every 3rd row 9 times. Decrease armhole the same as back until 2 sts. are left. Bind off. Work other side the same.

SLEEVE:

With #6 needles, cast on 38 sts. work in ribbing of K1, P1 for 3 inches. Change to #8 needles, Knit 1 row, purl 1 row, increasing 1 st. each side every 8th row 8 times. Work until sleeve measures 17 inches. Bind off 2 sts. each side then K2, slip 1, K1, pass slip st. over. Work to last 4 sts. K2 tog. K2, purl back, repeat these last 2 rows, until 4 sts. are left. Bind off.

FRONT NECKBAND:

With #6 needles, on right side of work, pick up 38 sts. from shoulder to V, pick up 1 st. at V and 38 sts. to shoulder, K1, P1 decreasing 1 st. each side of center st. every row for 8 rows. Bind off. K1, P1 as you bind off.

FINISHING:

Sew sleeves in place.

BACK NECKBAND:

On right side of work, pick up 4 sts. on top of sleeve, pick up neck sts. and 4 sts. on top of other sleeve, K1, P1 for 8 rows.

Sew sleeve seams and side seams.

Block with a damp cloth.
