SIZE 14 to 16

MATERIALS:
1 Pr. Champion Standard Knitting Needles #10
1 Bone Crochet Hook #6
3-4 oz. pull skeins — Jack Frost Wintuk Knitting Worsted Type

Scale — 4 sts. to 1 inch

BACK:

Cast on 68 sts. knit for 4 rows, then Knit 1 row, Purl 1 row to underarm 17 inches. Bind off 6 sts. each side, then K 2 tog. each side every other row 4 times. Work until armhole measures 8 inches. Bind off 8 sts. at the beginning of each row twice each side. Bind off.

RIGHT FRONT:

Cast on 33 sts. work in pattern as follows:

Row 1 — (wrong side) K1 * yarn over, K 2, pass yarn over the K2 sts. repeat from * across row ending yarn over, K2, pass the yarn over the K2.

Row 2 — Knit.

Repeat these 2 rows for pattern, work to underarm the same as back. Bind off 6 sts. at armhole side, then work until armhole measures 8 inches. Bind off 8 sts. from shoulder edge every other row twice. Bind off.

LEFT FRONT:

Work the same as right front, reversing shaping.

FINISHING:

Sew sides and shoulders. Work 3 rows of single crochet around vest and 2 rows around armholes.

Crochet a chain of 24 inches long for tie.
