SIZE 14 to 16

MATERIALS:
1 Pr. Champion Standard Knitting Needles #11
1 Bone Crochet Hook #6
3-4 oz. pull skeins, Jack Frost Knitting Worsted Wintuk - type

Scale — 4 sts. to 1 inch.

BACK:

Cast on 69 sts. work in pattern as follows:

Row 1 — * P3, K3, repeat from * ending P3.

Row 2 — * K3, P3, repeat from * ending K 3.

Row 3 — * P3, yarn over, slip 1, K2 tog. pass slip st. over, yarn over, repeat from * across row, ending P3.

Row 4 — * K3, P3, repeat from * ending K 3.

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.

Work to underarm 16 inches. Bind off 6 sts. each side, then K2 tog. each side every other row 6 times.

Work until armhole measures 7 ½ inches, then knit for inch.

Bind off 5 sts at the beginning of each row 3 times.

Bind off.

RIGHT FRONT:

Cast on 35 sts. work in pattern to underarm the same as back. Bind off 6 sts. at armhole side, at the same time decrease 1 st. at neck edge every 4th row 8 times. Continue decreasing at armhole side every other row 6 times. Work until armhole measures the same as back. Bind off 5 sts. from shoulder edge every other row 3 times.

LEFT FRONT:

Work the same as right front reversing shaping.

FINISHING:

Sew sides and shoulders.

Work 3 rows of single crochet on fronts and neck. Work 1 row of single crochet around armhole.

Crochet a chain about 20 inches for tie.

Block with a damp cloth.
