MATERIALS:
1 Pr. Champion Standard Knitting Needles #6
1 Bone Crochet Hook #4
3-4 oz. pull skeins, Jack Frost Wintuk Knitting Worsted type

Scale — 4 ½ sts. to 1 inch.

BACK:

Cast on 64 sts. knit 1 row, purl 1 row, increasing 1 st. each side every 4th row 4 times. Work to underarm 7 inches. Bind off 4 sts. each side, then k 2 tog. each side every other row 4 times. Work even until armhole measures 8 inches. Bind off 9 sts. at the beginning of each row twice each side. Bind off.

FRONT:

Cast on 8 sts.

Row 1 — Knit across casting on 5 sts. at end of row (underarm edge).

Row 2 — Purl across the row, casting on 2 sts. at end of row (front edge).

Repeat row 1 and 2, work in stockinette st. increasing 1 st. at underarm edge every 6th row, 5 times, at the same time, increasing 1 st. at front edge every other row 6 times. Work to underarm 7 inches. Bind off 4 sts. at armhole side, then K2 tog. at armhole side every other row 4 times. At the same time, decrease 1 st. at front edge every other row until 18 sts. are left. Work until armhole measures the same as back. Bind off 9 sts. from shoulder edge every other row twice.

Work other side the same, reversing casting on and shaping.

Sew shoulders and sides.

Work 2 rows of single crochet around Bolero and 2 rows around armholes.

Block with a damp cloth.
