1 crochet hook No. 4 or F

GAUGE: 6 sts. = 1 inch

PATTERN:
1st row: (Size 6 start P8, Size 8 start P10) * P5, 1 twisted incr. (pick up thread between next 2 sts., put it on left hand needle and K it from the back), K3, P2, P3 tog., P2, K3, 1 twisted incr., repeat from * across row end P5 (8-10).
2nd row: (Size 6 start K8, Size 8 start K10) * K5, P4, K5, P4 repeat from * across row end K5 (8-10).
3rd row: (Size 6 start P8, Size 8 start P10) * P5, 1 twisted incr., K4, P1, P3 tog., P1, K4, 1 twisted incr. repeat from * across row end P5 (8-10).
4th row: (Size 6 start K8, Size 8 start K10) * K5, P5, K3, P5 repeat from * across row end K5 (8-10).
5th row: (Size 6 start P8, Size 8 start P10) * P5, 1 twisted incr., K5, P3 tog., K5, 1 twisted incr. repeat from * across row end P5 (8-10).
6th row: (Size 6 start K8, Size 8 start K10) * K5, P6, K1, P6 repeat from * across row end K5 (8-10).

BACK:
Cast on 72 (76-80) sts. with No. 3 needles and work in ribbing K1, P1 for 1½ inch. Incr. 5 (7-7) sts. at even intervals across last row of ribbing. Change to No. 5 needles and pattern. With 77 (83-87) sts. work even until the entire piece measures 9 (10-11) inch. or any des. length to underarm. Bind off for armhole at the beg. of the next 2 rows 5 (6-6) sts., at the beg. of the next 2 rows 2 sts. (63 (67-71) sts. left). Work even for 5½ (6-6½) inch. from the first binding off. Bind off for shoulders at the beg. of the next 4 (6-6) rows 8 (6-6) sts., rem. 31 (31-35) sts. bind off for neck.

FRONT:
Work Front as Back.

SLEEVE:
Cast on 36 (38-40) sts. with No. 3 needles and work in ribbing K1, P1 for 1½ inch. Incr. 5 (3-1) sts. at even intervals across last row of ribbing. Change to No. 5 needles and pattern (all sizes are worked in pattern as Size 4 in slipover). Work even for 2 (1-0) inch. Incr. 1 st. at the beg. and end of every 6th row until 55 (59- 65) sts. are on needle, forming new patterns as sts. are increased. Work even until the entire sleeve measures 10½ (11½-12½) inch. or any des. length to underarm. Bind off at the beg. of the next 2 rows 5 (6-6) sts. Decr. 1 st. at the beg. of each row until cap measures 2¼ (2¾-3) inch. Decr. 1 st. at the beg. and end of every 4th row twice (all sizes). Bind off 2 sts. at the beg. of the next 4 rows. Bind off rem. sts. Work the other sleeve to correspond.

FINISHING:
Sew up side, shoulder and sleeve seams. Sew in sleeves. With No. 4 crochet hook work 2 rows s.c. around neck. Turn 1 inch down at neck edge and sew to inside. Block to size.
