1 Pr. Standard No. 2 Needles—14 in.
1 Pr. Standard No. 3 Needles—14 in.

Scale: 7 sts to 1 in.

Jack Frost Sport Yarn—7 2-oz. Balls

BACK: With No. 2 Needles cast on 118 sts. Work in ribbing of K 2, P 2, for 3½ in. Change to No. 3 Needles, increasing to 128 sts. Work in pattern as follows: Row 1—P 4, * K 8, P 6, repeat from * across row ending P 4. Row 2—K 4, * P 8, K 6, repeat from * across row ending K 4. Repeat above 2 rows until piece measures 14 in. from lower edge. Bind off 6 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm. Decrease 1 st at each end every other row 5 times. Work even until piece measures 8½ in. from underarm. Bind off 8 sts at beginning of each of next 8 rows. Change to No. 2 Needles and work in ribbing of K 2, P 2, for 8 rows. Bind off.

FRONT: With No. 2 Needles cast on 118 sts. Work same as back to underarm. Bind off 6 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each and every other row 5 times, then work as follows: work over 53 sts, place on st.-holder. On remaining 53 sts, decrease 1 st at neck edge every other row 4 times, then every 4th row to 32 sts. Work even until piece measures 8½ in. from underarm. Starting at shoulder edge, bind off 8 sts every other row 4 times. Work other side to correspond.

FRONT NECKBAND: With No. 2 Needles, on right side of garment, pick up 80 sts from shoulder to point of V, 1 st at point of V, 80 sts from point of V to shoulder. Work in ribbing of K 2, P 2, decreasing 1 st at each side of st at point of V on every row for 8 rows. Bind off, decreasing as above. Sew shoulder seams.

SLEEVES: With No. 2 Needle cast on 60 sts. Work in ribbing of K 2, P 2, for 3½ in. Change to No. 3 Needles increasing to 72 sts. Work in rib pattern, increasing 1 st at each end on the 5th and every 10th row thereafter to 100 sts. Work even until piece measures 21 in. or desired length. Bind off 6 sts at begin­ning of each of next 2 rows. Decrease 1 st at each end every other row 6 times, bind off 2 sts at beginning of every row until 20 sts remain. Bind off.
Sew underarm seams. Sew sleeve seams. Sew sleeves in place.
