MATERIAL:
4 (5-6) skeins Knitting Worsted or Orion Sayelle (2 oz. skein)
or
4 (5-6) balls Sport Yarn (2 oz. ball) or
3 (3-4) skeins Orion Acrylic 2 ply (2 oz. skein)
1 circular knitting needle No. 8
1 crochet hook No. 6 or G
1 stitch holder
3 buttons

GAUGE: 4 sts. = 1 inch

NOTE: When Sport Yarn or Orion Acrylic 2 ply is used, use 2 strands of yarn. With No. 8 circular needle cast on 120 (130-140) sts. Join being careful not to twist sts. K around for 1 inch. Slip a marker to work to mark hemline. Cont. to K around until skirt measures 7 (8-9) inch. Length of Jumper to underarm is 13 (14-15) inch., to shorten or lengthen skirt make necessary adjustment here.
1st decr. round: * K22 (24-26), K2 tog. repeat from * around. Work even on 115 (125-135) sts. for 1 inch.
2nd decr. round: * K21 (23-25), K2 tog. repeat from * around. Work even on 110 (120-130) sts. for 1 inch.
3rd decr. round: * K20 (22-24), K2 tog. repeat from * around. Work even on 105 (115-125) sts. for 1 inch.
Cont. to decr. this way 5 sts. in round, having 1 st. less between decr. every 1 inch twice more (all sizes). Work even on rem. 95 (105-115) sts. until skirt measures 13 (14-15) inch, or any des. length to underarm above hemline. Slip a marker to beg. of round. With straight No. 8 needle K across next 47 (51-55) sts. for Back, slip another marker to needle and work across rem. 48 (54-60) sts. for Front.

BACK:
Work back and forth in stock. st. with No. 8 needles and bind off for armhole at the beg. of the next 2 rows 3 (3-4) sts., at the beg. of the next 2 rows 2 sts. On rem. 37 (41-43) sts. work even for 5½  (6-6½) inch, from the first binding off. Bind off for shoulders at the beg. of the next 4 (4-4) rows 6 (7-7) sts., rem. 13 (13-15) sts. bind off for neck.

FRONT:
Slip 48 (54-60) sts. from circular needle to straight No. 8 needles and work back and forth in stock. st. Bind off for armhole at the beg. of the next 2 rows 3 (3-4) sts and at the beg. of the next 2 rows 2 (2-3) sts. (38 (44- 46) sts. left). Work across 19 (22-23) sts. and slip them to a holder to be worked later and work over rem. 19 (22-23) sts. only. Decr. for neck 1 st. at center edge every 3rd row until 12 (14-14) sts. are left over. Work as high as back and bind off for shoulder at armhole edge 6 (7-7) sts. twice (all sizes). Slip sts. from holder back to needle, attach yarn amd finish this side of neck to correspond.

FINISHING:
Sew up shoulder seams. Turn up hem and sew to wrong side. Right side facing you with No. 6 crochet hook work 2 rows s.c. around each armhole edge and 2 rows around neck edge. Tab: Cast on 1 st. with No. 8 needles and work in stock. st. Incr. 1 st. at the beg. and end of every K row until 5 sts. are on needle. Work even for 2 inch. Decr. 1 st. at beg. and end of every K row until 1 st. is left. Fasten off. With No. 6 crochet hook work 1 row s.c. around tab. Sew 3 buttons to tab and sew tab to V neck. Block to size.
