SCALE: 5½ sts to 1 in.

Jack Frost Featherweight Floss 2 Fold—6 1-oz. Balls

BACK: With No. 4 Needles cast on 81 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 3½ in. Change to No. 7 Needles and P 1 row increasing to 98 sts at even intervals across row. Work in pattern as follows:
Row 1—K 2, * P 2, K 2; repeat from * across row.
Row 2—P 2, * K 2, P 2; repeat from * across row. Repeat above 2 rows working a twisted st over every 2nd rib of K 2 on the 5th and every 6th row thereafter to shoulder edge as follows: * K 2, P 2, K 2nd st on left hand Needle from the back but do not drop st from left hand Needle, then K the first st, drop both sts from left hand Needle, P 2; repeat from * across row ending with P 2. Work even in pattern until piece measures 12 in. from lower edge. Bind off 6 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 4 times. Work even until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm. Discontinue pattern and work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, binding off 5 sts at beginning of each of next 6 rows for shoulders. Bind off remaining sts.

FRONT: Work as given for back. Sew shoulder and underarm seams.

SLEEVES: With No. 4 Needles cast on 41 sts. Work in rib­bing of K 1, P 1, for 3½ in. Change to No. 7 Needles and P 1 row increasing to 44 sts. Work in stockinette st increasing 1 st at each end every 8th row to 68 sts. Work even until piece measures 18 in. from lower edge. Bind off 6 sts at begin­ning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 4 times, then every 4th row 3 times. Bind off 2 sts at beginning of every row until 18 sts remain. Bind off remaining sts.

Sew sleeve seams. Sew sleeves in place.
