SCALE: 5½ sts to 1 in.

Jack Frost Sport Yarn—3 2-oz. Balls

BACK: With No. 4 Needles cast on 81 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 3½ in. Change to No. 8 Needles and P 1 row increasing to 93 sts. Work in stockinette st until piece measures 11½ in. from lower edge. Cast on 8 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for sleeves. Work even until piece measures 7 in. from cast on sts at underarm. Bind off 8 sts at beginning of each of next 10 rows for shoulders. Change to No. 4 Needles increasing to 31 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 6 rows. Bind off.

FRONT: Work same as given for back until piece measures 1 in. from cast on sts at underarm, then start yoke as follows:

Row 1—K 46, P 3, K 4, P 3, K 4, P 3, K 46.
Row 2—P 46, K 3, P 4, K 3, P 4, K 3, P 46.
Row 3—Repeat row 1, working a cable twist over each rib of K 4, as follows: slip the first 2 sts onto D P N (double pointed Needle), hold in back of work, K the next 2 sts, then bring the 2 slipped sts forward and K them.
Row 4—Repeat row 2.
Row 5—K 39, P 3, * K 4, P 3; repeat from * 3 times ending K 39.
Row 6—P 39, K 3, * P 4, K 3; repeat from * 3 times ending P 39.
Row 7—Repeat row 5.
Row 8—Repeat row 6.
Row 9—K 32, P 3, * K 4, P 3; repeat from * 5 times working a cable twist over each rib of K 4, ending K 32.
Row 10—P 32, K 3, * P 4, K 3; repeat from * 5 times ending P 32. Repeat rows 9 and 10 working a cable twist over the ribs of K 4, every 6th row until piece measures 5 in. from underarm. Continuing pattern, work over 45 sts; place on st-holder. Bind off next 19 sts for front of neck. On remaining 45 sts work 2 rows even; decrease 1 st at neck edge every other row 5 times. Starting at shoulder edge, bind off 8 sts every other row 5 times. Work other side to correspond.

FRONT NECKBAND: With No. 4 Needles on right side of garment, pick up 69 sts from shoulder to shoulder. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 6 rows. Bind off.

Sew shoulder seams.

ARMHOLE BANDS: Work as given for Pullover Pattern.

Sew underarm seams.
