1 Pr. Standard No. 2 Needles14 in.

Jack Frost Sport Yarn or Heathertone
Natural3 2-oz. Balls, Maize1 2-oz. Ball, Greenmist1 2-oz. Ball
BACK: With No. 2 Needles and Natural cast on 97 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 2 ½ in. Change to No. 4 Needles, work in stockinette st in stripe pattern as follows: * 2 rows Greenmist, 4 rows Maize, 2 rows Greenmist, 10 rows Natural. Repeat from * for entire garment. When piece measures 11 ½ in. from lower edge, bind off 5 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 3 times. Work even until piece measures 6 ½ in. from underarm. Bind off 8 sts at beginning of each of next 6 rows. Change to No. 2 Needles and work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 7 rows. Bind off.
FRONT: Work same as back until piece measures 5 in. from underarm; then work as follows: work over 30 sts, place on st- holder. Bind off next 21 sts for front of neck. On remaining 30 sts work 2 rows even, then decrease 1 st at neck edge every other row 6 times. Work even until piece measures 6 ½ in. from underarm. Starting at shoulder edge, bind off 8 sts every other row 3 times. Work other side to correspond.
FRONT NECKBAND: With No. 2 Needles and Natural, on right side of garment, pick up 63 sts from shoulder to shoulder. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 7 rows. Bind off. Sew shoulder and underarm seams.
SLEEVES: With No. 2 Needles and Natural, cast on 48 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 2 ½ in. Change to No. 4 Needles, increasing to 54 sts at even intervals across row. Work in stripe pattern as given for back, increasing 1 st at each end every 8th row 10 times. Work even on remaining 74 sts until piece measures 17 in. or desired length to underarm. Bind off 5 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 3 times, then every 3rd row 3 times. Bind off 2 sts at beginning of each of next 18 rows. Bind off remaining sts.
Sew sleeve seams. Sew sleeves in place.
