1 pair knitting needles each No. 4 and No. 6
1 crochet hook No. 4 or E
1 jacket zipper 14 (15-16) inch, long

GAUGE: 5 sts. = 1 inch

NOTE: If Orion Acrylic is used, use 2 strands.

PATTERN:
1st row: K3, P1, K3 (4-5), P1, K6 (7-8), P1, K6 (7-8), P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K6 (7-8), P1, K6 (7-8), P1, K3 (4-5), P1, K3.
2nd row: P3, K1, P3 (4-5), K1, P6 (7-8), K1, P6 (7-8), K1, P3, K1, P3, K1, P3, K1, P3, K1, P3, K1, P6 (7-8), K1, P6 (7-8), K1, P3 (4-5), K1, P3.
Repeat these 2 rows for pattern.

BACK:
Cast on 58 (64-68) sts. with No. 4 needles and work in ribbing K1, P1 for 2 inch, (all sizes). Incr. 5 (5-7) sts. at even intervals across last row of ribbing. Change to No. 6 needles and pattern. With 63 (69-75) sts. work even until the entire piece measures 9 (10-11) inch, or any des. length to underarm. Shape raglan armhole: bind off for armhole at the beg. of the next 2 rows 2 (3-4) sts. 1st row: K2, slip 1, K1, p.s.s.o., K to last 4 sts., K2 tog., K2. 2nd row: Work back in pattern. Repeat these 2 rows 20 (22-24) times. Rem. 19 sts. (all sizes) bind off.

LEFT FRONT:
Cast on 35 (38-41) sts. with No. 4 needles and work in ribbing K1, P1 for 2 inch, (all sizes), keeping the 5 center front sts. in garter st. for border. Incr. 2 sts. (all sizes) at even intervals across last row of ribbing. Change to No. 6 needles and pattern:
1st row: K3, P1, K3 (4-5), P1, K6 (7-8), P1, K6 (7-8), P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K2, K5 border sts.
2nd row: K5 border sts., P2, K1, P3, K1, P3, K1, P6 (7-8), K1, P6 (7-8), K1, P3 (4-5), K1, P3.
Repeat these 2 rows for pattern.
With 37 (40-43) sts. work even until the entire piece measures like back to underarm. Shape raglan armhole: bind off at armhole edge at the beg. of the next row 2 (3-4) sts. and decr. for raglan as on back 20 (22-24) times and at the same time when 12 (14-16) decr. are completed (there are 23 sts. (all sizes) left) bind off for neck 9 (9-9) sts. at center edge and then 2 sts. at neck edge every other row twice (all sizes). Rem. 2 sts. bind off.

RIGHT FRONT:
Work Right Front as Left Front reversing all shap­ings.

SLEEVE:
Cast on 36 (38-40) sts. with No. 4 needles and work in ribbing K1, P1 for 2 inch. (all sizes). Incr. 3 (5-7) sts. at even intervals across last row of ribbing. Change to No. 6 needles and pattern:
1st row: K2 (3-4), P1, K6 (7-8), P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K6 (7-8), P1, K2 (3-4).
2nd row: P2 (8-4), K1, P6 (7-8), K1, P3, K1, P3, K1, P3, K1, P3, K1, P3, K1, P6 (7-8), K1, P2 (3-4).
Repeat these 2 rows for pattern.
Incr. 1 st. at the beg. and end of every 6th row until 47 (53-59) sts. are on needle forming new patterns as sts. are incr. Shape raglan cap: bind off at the beg. of the next 2 rows 2 (3-4) sts. Decr. for raglan as on back 20 (22-24) times. Bind off rem. 3 sts. (all sizes). Work the other sleeve to correspond.

FINISHING:
Sew up side and sleeve seams. Sew sleeves to front and back. Neckband: Right side facing you pick up with No. 4 needles 52 (56-60) sts. around the neck and work in ribbing K1, P1 for 5 rows. Bind off loosely K as K and P as P. With No. 4 crochet hook work 2 rows s.c. along each front. Sew zipper in place and block to size.
