1 Pr. Standard No. 13 Needles—14 in.
1 Size 9 Bone Crochet Hook
Jack Frost Willow Yarn—6 2-oz. Skeins

BACK: Cast on 38 sts. Work in pattern as follows: work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 4 rows. Starting with 5th row, work in ribbing of P 1, K 1, for 4 rows. The above 8 rows form pattern. Repeat them until piece measures 9 ½ in. from lower edge. Bind off 4 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm. Work even in pattern until piece measures 4 ¾ in. from underarm. Bind off 3 sts at beginning of each of next 6 rows. Bind off remaining sts for back of neck.

LEFT FRONT: Cast on 22 sts. Work even in pattern until piece measures 4 in. from lower edge. Keeping front edge even, bind off 3 sts at underarm edge once; decrease 1 st at underarm edge every other row 3 times. Work even until piece measures 3 ¼ in. from underarm. Starting at front edge, bind off 4 sts once; decrease 1 st at neck edge every other row 3 times. Work even until piece measures 4 ¾ in. from underarm. Starting at shoulder edge bind off 3 sts every other row 3 times. Work other side to correspond.

POCKETS: Cast on 10 sts. Work even in pattern for 16 rows. Bind off. Work 1 row s c around entire pocket, working 2 sts in corner st. Sew to garment as illustrated.

SLEEVES: Cast on 20 sts. Work in pattern, increasing 1 st at each end every 8th row to 32 sts. Work even until sleeve measures 14 in. or desired length from lower edge. Bind off 3 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 3 times. Work 2 rows even, then bind off 2 sts at beginning of each of next 6 rows. Bind off remaining sts. Sew shoulder and underarm seams. Sew sleeve seams and sew sleeves in place.

CROCHETED BAND: Starting at neck edge of right front, work 32 s c to lower edge, ch 1, turn. Work 1 s c in each of first 3 sts, * ch 2, skip 2 sts, work 1 s c in each of next 5 sts, repeat from * 3 times, ch 2, skip 2 sts, work 2 s c in corner st, work 29 s c around neck edge, 2 s c in corner st, and 32 s c to lower edge of left front. Fasten off.
